Log Cabin Camp

Catering

Log Cabin Camp has a great reputation when it comes to our food, we pride ourselves on providing great quality (and tasting!), freshly cooked homestyle and healthy meals that your kids and teachers will equally enjoy.

All meals are prepared onsite in our commercial kitchen by a team of dedicated individuals who love to cook and create something that all the campers will enjoy.

While you are on camp you will be sure to work up an appetite after spending the day on the giant swing, zipline, or leap of faith, so while you are out having the time of your life and getting your adrenaline fix, our kitchen team will be inside cooking up a storm ready for you to enjoy the minute you get a chance to take a break.

We pride ourselves on being able to say; ‘ No one goes hungry at Log Cabin Camp’, and with plenty of seconds available after every meal, yummy homemade snacks for morning and afternoon teas, dessert at dinner, and endless supply of fresh fruit, we sure live up to that saying, and might just be sending you home just a little heavier than when you arrived!

We like to remember special occasions, such as Birthdays, so let us know in advance on the catering forms of any such occasions that may be occuring during your time on camp.

Special Diets & Allergies

With dietary requirements and allergies becoming an ever-increasing concern in today’s world and a broader range of special diets becoming the new normal for this generation, at Log Cabin Camp we pride ourselves on providing flexible and delicious catering for all dietary requirements or allergies while on camp.

Our special diet meals are always made as similar as possible to what the rest of the campers are eating to help make each camper feel like they are still getting the same camp experience as their classmates and with meals prepared onsite we are always able to cater exactly towards an individual’s needs no matter how difficult or complicated it may seem. Kitchen staff regularly undergo allergy and anaphylaxis training and we operate within the guidelines of ASCIA (Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy) so teachers and parents can rest assured they are in safe hands when they come to Log Cabin Camp.

Prior to camp, schools are required to fill in our catering forms, which have detailed information about any campers with special diets or allergies, these forms are returned to Log Cabin Camp 2 weeks before camp, giving our kitchen team ample time to adequately prepare and cater for everyone’s individual dietary requirements.

While on camp: the school must nominate a ‘special diets coordinator’ who will liaise with the kitchen team and help facilitate and oversee all campers with special diets or allergies at each mealtime. This, along with our policy to always serve any campers with special dietary requirements or allergies first, helps us ensure we cater correctly for every single requirement and no one gets missed.

So from peanut/nut allergy to gluten or dairy free, fructose free, lactose free, vegetarian/vegan or halal, you know you can come on camp or send your child on camp knowing that they will be well looked after and provided with delicious meals and snacks that they can eat.
